Finder.ph, a Made for Adsense (MFA) Site?

Finder.ph (www.finder.ph) is claimed to be a Filipino search engine but its website structure makes it fall into a category of a Made for Adsense (MFA) websites.

MFA websites are websites that was created with a primary purpose and designed to earn money from Adsense. It has no original content. All of its content are just copied from other website. The most common made for adsense websites contains automated search queries of a certain popular keyword.

Examples of made for adsense websites are;

1. http://az21dreamspecials.info/
2. http://www.learn22.info/
3. http://zotti.de/
4. http://polaris-tel.co.uk/

If you will try to compare, finder.ph is the same as the websites listed above.

Definitely Not a Good Idea

There are lots of Adsense publishers who participated in Google Adsense Advertisement program without fully understanding the Adsense Program Policies. It must be given enough attention because a violation of the program policies can cause a termination of Adsense account once discovered by the Google Adsense Team. Take note that you may have only one Adsense Account, using you name and your website, in a lifetime.

As an example, a Filipino blogger happily discovered the benefits of Adsense Program at http://www.yugatech.com/blog/?p=429 and leave the following comment,

"Demmet. I should have signed up earlier. I don’t know… I guess I never really thought it’s a good money-making scheme till now."

He, then, put an adsense ad block on his blog BUT, unfortunately, he posted the following on his blog,

The last line of his post is obviously a violation of Adsense program policies, which says,

"Web pages may not include incentives of any kind for users to click on ads. This includes encouraging users to click on the ads or to visit the advertisers' sites as well as drawing any undue attention to the ads. For example, your site cannot contain phrases such as "click here," "support us," "visit these links," or other similar language that could apply to any ad, regardless of content. These activities are strictly prohibited in order to avoid potential inflation of advertiser costs. In addition, publishers may not bring unnatural attention to sites displaying ads or referral buttons through unsolicited mass emails or unwanted advertisements on third-party websites. Publishers are also not permitted to use deceptive or unnatural means to draw attention to or incite clicks on referral buttons."

I had also discovered another blog that is practicing the same trick but later became offline. Here is the screen shoot of the Google cache;

We are encouraging Filipino Adsense Publishers to faithfully follow the Adsense Program Policies before it’s too late.

Inq7.net Seems Doing Bad Adsense Trick

Atleast once in one week of my rare visits in inq7.net news portal , I encountered to view a returned web page from www.inq7.net homepage that contains merely an adsense ad block. See the screen shot bellow;

I don't know if this was done intentionally by inq7.net webmasters to take advantage of earning more money from Adsense Program or just a bug on my internet browser. But in case that it was made intentionally, this random display of just an Adsense block in their homepage is an annoyance to their users and absolutely a violation of Adsense Policies. To quote the provisions in the Adsense Program Policy, it says,

"No Google ad may be placed on any non-content-based pages."

and

"No Google ad may be placed on pages published specifically for the purpose of showing ads, whether or not the page content is relevant."

I think, inq7.net have to be extra careful regarding this issue to avoid possible termination of Adsense account.

How to Track Your Google Adsense Payment

Once your Google Adsense Payment has been processed, you can actually, track and determine when will you receive your check using DHL online tracking. Note that this is only applicable if you choose a secure delivery.

One to two days after your payment has been published at Google Adsense Payment History, you can call the DHL call center in the Philippines at 8117000 and ask your tracking number. They usually ask your name (of course), the company who send you the package (Google, Inc.), and where the package came from (in my case, it came from Dublin, Ireland). After getting your tracking number, go to http://www.dhl.com.ph/publish/ph/en/eshipping/track.high.html and enter your tracking number. You will then see where in this world your check is currently located and assume the time when will it land in your hands.

How to Encash Your Google Adsense Check

Of course, the next step that you should do after handing over your first payment from Google adsense is to encash it, whether the currency that you choose was in US Dollar or in Philippine Peso.

How to encash your check

To encash your check, you have to open a dollar bank account in your favorite bank, but i would suggest to open your bank account in Banco de Oro (BDO) because they only require an initial deposit of $100. Also, BDO does not impose charges in encashing your check, as long as, the check is payable to Citibank. Fortunately, all Google Adsense checks are payable to Citibank. If you don't have dollars in your hand yet, you can buy dollars at any money changers. Note that banks does only sell dollars for some valid reasons. I suggest to buy dollars at Sarina, located at Glorieta, Makati City. There is no hassle buying dollars there.

Then after opening a dollar account, you can now deposit your check and wait for 25 banking days for clearing.
